Salty Girl is iconic. Ask a Boston local where to find the best lobster roll, and you’ll likely hear the name muttered begrudgingly—perhaps because it’s no hidden secret. With locations beyond Boston, including Los Angeles (not of the same caliber), Salty Girl knows exactly how good it is.

Service here stands out. One of the few places where I encountered a true Boston accent—born and raised. Gruff, warm hospitality followed, a delight that feels increasingly rare outside the East Coast.

Salty Girl isn’t cheap, and it doesn’t pretend to be. Still, it’s worth every dollar. The warm butter lobster roll was one of the best bites I had in Boston. Even the seasonal salad challenged my usual skepticism toward restaurant salads. Salty Girl knows exactly what it is—and earns its reputation.
